Diskpart Showing no connected drives while in 7 Startup repair

PC is booting to startup animation but not moving past. Started up windows repair and recovered to earlier point. No dice. Loaded up CMD in the start-up repair and ran a bootrec.exe /fixboot. Error. Bootrec.exe /scanos, None found. Which is weird because it boots into the start-up animation so that has to be coming from somewhere. Diskpart, list disk. It is not even showing that there is ANYTHING on the PC. Just telling me nothing is found. Booted into Ubuntu and looked for the disk, it's there are working. Not sure how to proceed from here. Any advice?

    Maybe a boot sector virus?
What Is a Boot Sector Virus? - Overview
Since you can boot a Linux disc I'd put in a USB drive and try to recover the data, anything created on the computer and that exists nowhere else, then proceed with some of the suggests to clean the drive, maybe use GPARTED to wipe it.
