    External Hard Drive not visible

I am trying to load some files to a friends external hard drive from my PC. The drive is acknowledged by the pc when plugged in and fires up with no issues. Looking in my computer, the drive is not there. If I look in drive manager, it is there, but I can not give it a drive letter and cannot do anything with it.

This external drive was used with a MAC for back-ups, would this cause the issues I am seeing? If so, is there any way to drop files to the drive so they are visible on the MAC?

    Thanks,
    Rob

lf you are able to see device in disk management then you can use 3rd party s/w for intializing your drive letter.
due to drive letter you are not able to see your device.
i suggest you to download partition wizard.

Stop meddling with the Mac formatted external drive.

If you want to copy files to that external drive and its going to be only a 10 days affair, download and install the fully functional 10 day trial version of Paragon HFS+ for Windows 10 and get it done.( Thanks to Anshad Edavana)
