Hi I'm having the same problem with both Jenny and I tried doing this with your method but my disk drive is labelled "Bad Disk" under File System and I can't get it to find the partition. How can I resolve this problem? Please advise

Welcome to Seven Forums.
From the many user experiences here, I have come to the conclusion that if Partition Wizard shows a disk as Bad Disk, there is actually nothing much we can do.
But still to leave nothing to chance, I would recommend
1. Check your disk condition with the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic/repair utility. If it does not pass the test well it is a goner.
2. Notwithstanding, try running PhotoRec and make an attempt to recover the folders/files. If PhotoRec fails to recognise and show your drive well that is it.

3. The final act: Try to format your drive with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool v 2.2.3
HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool Free Download (Right click on the *.exe file and run it as administrator.)
(If it would format it successfully, we can still recover the data from a formatted disk. But that is a big IF.)

i shall try all ur recommendation, huuu so desperate and upset if i could not recover the hard disk as all my files and photos will be gone hahaaa

I had seen your other post - which existed only for a shortwhile :) - and could understand how desperate you are to retrieve the data.
There is absolutely no bar in trying to retrieve your data using any of the free data recovery software. Just google search "best free data recovery software" or related terms and you can find many.
However, for the first time, I would suggest that you perform the data recovery on a cloned drive and try your luck.

From post #12 there modified slightly:
Tool: ddrescue Source: SystemRescueCD
1. Download the SystemRescueCD from Download - SystemRescueCd systemrescuecd-x86-4.2.0.iso 380MB and create a bootable pendrive with that ISO using Rufus Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way
2. Boot your computer with that pen drive with your source disk (your failing disk) and a destination disk (formatted empty disk of capacity not less than that of your source disk) plugged in.
3.Against the command prompt type: fdisk -l [ENTER] This will list all your drives. Note the nomenclature of your source disk and destination disk. The option is lower case L = l and not one 1
4. Next against the command prompt type: ddrescue -r3 -n -v /dev/sdb /dev/sdc recovery.log [ENTER]
( Note: ddrescue[space]-r3[space]-n[space]-v[space]/dev/sdb[space]/dev/sdc[space]recovery.log
Note: Replace sdb and sdc with the correct device nomenclature of Source disk and Destination disk as obtained in step 3.
5. Sit back and relax. The cloning process may take days depending upon how bad your Source disk is. If your data is important patience is the key and the wait worth it. The saving grace is you can stop the process any time with Ctrl -C and then restart. It will take the cue from the log file and start from where it left
Once your BAD Disk is cloned perform any data recovery including PhotoRec which I recommended on the cloned drive.

hi jenny have you heard about the HIRENS 15.1
1. download hirens 15.1 and burn it to cd
2. Boot from hirens 15.1 CD then select dos programs look for HDAT2 software
3. then read the remaining instructions it will repair your hard disk bad sectors and try to fix it
NOTE: the scanning and repairing process of Bad sectors will depend on how damage cost on your hard disk if it counts too slow your hard disk is bad it will stop and a beep sound when bad sectors detected... it works for me...95%
