    I don't think it's a usb problem because PS2 doesn't work.
    You are plugging the PS2 keyboard in without any adapters I presume.

    Nice tutorial except that I cant get past step 1 since the keyboard and mouse doesn't work.

    No adapters on anything, but I did also try the ps/2 keyboard and mouse with a ps2 to usb adapter and the same issue occurs.

    No I would not suspect it's a usb problem since ps/2 doesn't work as well. So its essentially an "input device" problem is probably the easiest way to describe it.

    On another note, apparently when this computer was dropped off, the customer did not mention any issues with the kb/mouse. I have my technician calling the customer to have them bring in their own keyboard and mouse and if theirs works then that will suffice, otherwise I think we will end up doing a windows reinstall.
