System not detecting SSD after crash

For starters, my SSD is the boot drive. Last night I put my computer into sleep mode. This morning when I woke it up, everything was fine except the mouse was lagging. The mouse eventually froze and my computer reset. Now it gets stuck at the boot screen and can only detect my secondary HDD and my cd drive. The SSD will still light up as if it's working, but that's as far as it gets; there is no detection. Any suggestions or is the SSD fried?

What model SSD do you have?

    What motherboard or computer?

I would take the SSD out and test it in a USB caddy on another system. Check there what it says in Disk Management.

The SSD is an OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II and 120GB. I can't recall the exact model motherboard but it is ECS.

I'll try that. I think I have a caddy around here somewhere...
EDIT: I plugged it in and it lights up but doesn't show up in disk management or my computer.

Most of my SSD's are OCZ models and I know many people have had issues with the Vertex 2 after using sleep mode on their computers. Check out their forum.

They have recommended disconnecting the drive from power, etc. for a few hours and then trying it again.

Do you know what firmware version is in the SSD?

I actually have no idea what firmware version it is. I think I'm gonna purchase a new drive. Does this one look decent? Corsair Force LX Series CSSD-F128GBLX 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - Newegg.com

    Amazon reviews are pretty good.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with Corsair SSD's. I do know that Samsung makes good drives, however.

The specs of the Corsair are so, so - a very slow write speed. I would recommend Samsung, Crucial and Mushkin.
