    Hard drive vibrates my desk, is it normal


    is it normal that i can feel my desk vibrating a little bit like theres an electricity going through me. im not just used to it because my older hdd doesnt give me this vibration i feel nothing but my new hdd gives me this.

    old hdd seagate 80 gb sata I
    new hdd seagate 1000gb sata III

    To my knowledge, a hard drive shouldn't vibrate that much. A little bit is normal, but excessive vibration can be an indicator of a problem.

    Is this an internal or external drive?

    If any hard drive vibrates that much it's junk.

    its an internal hdd but i think its just my first day of use but for now the vibration is lessen. i dont feel it no more. guess your conclusion is wrong dude ur conclusions a junk

    If a hard drive is doing that, it's junk. You should not be able to feel your hard drive vibrating your desk.
