tnx i'd never have found that otherwise :)
Yes they are sneaky like that I would have preferred to have the choice. Still with the 940 this will be history

I get a 7.2 CPU subscore with a Phenom X4 9550, but really you shouldn't be making your purchasing decisions on the WEI.

Even though I have a higher subscore than an Athlon X2 6400+ I bet it would do better in most games and single-threaded applications.

You are probably right, but there is more to computing than just playing games

i normally pay not too much attention to benchmarks/wei. Lessons derived from the skewing of graphics benchmarks by adding benchmark specific code to the drivers makes one a bit hesitant to accept benchmark/wei results on face value.

I tend to go for everyday usage as my guide.
From my dualboot rig having installed as much of the same apps as supported on both os's (vista sp2 RC & win7) i found the in realistic every day use the only difference is a marked reduction in processor temperature/activity on idle with w7.

Overall feel and speed impression, i'm hard put to pinpoint a difference. They both work fine, the response seems equal even though i've windowblinds running in vista and not in w7. I'd need a millisecond timer to measure the responsetimes, so that's moot.

But then again pcgames irritate the bejesus out of me so gamescores don't interest me.
