OK thanks for the info. I've tested the ports, they do all seem to have usb 2.0 speed. But isn't there a way to go into device manager and see, for instance, which port has the Western Digital external hard drive connected to it? Seems like I remember doing that years ago. Thanks
In the Device Manager, select View and then select Devices By Connection.
My friend took that old Dell back, but I tested this out on a newer computer, and View Devices By Connection works, it shows that a USB device is connected to the Enhanced Controller. Thanks
