usually it stated a solid 130mbps now it fluctuated between 140 to 35mbps which seems to slow some things down when browsing/downloading. most l seem to be downloading is is 2mbps on my PC when it really fluctuates but it does go higher sometimes when the connection seems more stable but my laptop seems to be able to push that to touching 4mbps download speeds.

on a completely unrelated note, been looking at keyboards, decided to get a cheaper one without bells and whistles so to speak, lve always loved multimedia keyboards for some unknown reason but never really use the buttons lol, lm guessing the microsoft mouse and keyboard centre wont work properly for a non-MS product, which means l'll likely uninstall it. that leaves one question, is there software out there that can disable keys like the Caps Lock? occasionally l hit it while typing and it annoys the hell outta me when l do so id like to see if there is some form of third party software that will disable the key.

with regards to the keyboard, thats what l thought.. however l was hoping to be recommended a tool rather than just get some random one found via a google search as obviously not all sites these days are as trustworthy as sevenforums has proven to be.

now to wait until l get paid, its been a ruddy tight couple of weeks.. looking forward to sorting out my keyboard and wireless (hopefully) got a free next day delivery token from ebuyer due to how DPD shafted me when l ordered my parts for my current PC build (turns out my new SSD drive travelled over 1000miles to get to me.. l guess it wanted to vote in the scot referendum lol, because thats where it first ended up then took a further week to get to me from birmingham.. excuse l got was the van broke down - l had my say on their facebook page told them they should call the AA not push the ruddy van all the way to my house from birmingham).

sharp keys is a program? would prefer to use a program rather than registry editing.. granted l think l can do it but lm hoping not to delve into something l dont completely understand. thats if the windows keyboard centre doesnt pick up the keyboard and allow me to do it from there.

sorry, l thought you were just talking about the reg edits.. didnt scroll down as far as the program

guess l'll try that one out of the MS keyboard and mouse center doesnt like the new keyboard (when l get it) not going for bells and whistles this time, just a basic £4 keyboard l can use to put text on my screen LOL. in any case this forum has always lead to trustworthy answers compared to many others so appreciate the help, just gotta get paid first.

on another note, l didnt mention before.. back before my bios update.. while l was hearing what has turned out to be my keyboard detecting (likely an issue inside the cable near the keyboard itself, not the first keyboard thats developed this issue) before when connecting thumb drives/externals l never got the sound of the device being detected when l turned them on until the bios had been updated so maybe my usb issues are fixed (tho l do get a driver error when l connect usb externals in event viewer but it doesnt seem to be anything to worry about since l wouldnt have known anything about it if l had not been trying to track down logs of my wireless issues).

just another update, finally received the wireless adapter.. its supposed to go up to 150mbps, tho lm only getting 65mbps out of it.. that said compared to my other adapter this one seems holding its speed solidly rather than bouncing about like the other one.
