l guess, its just annoying tbh, in any case it didnt do it before the new keyboard or wireless and those are the only things that have changed (well l did uninstall the MS keyboard and mouse centre as well and use keytweak to disable caps lock but thats about all.. tho l had not connected the drive that it happens on between connecting the two new devices.
that said the only difference since is that l have a safely disconnect device icon in the task bar which notes its for the wireless adapter, my last one never did that.
Yes i have found that also strange that some Devices put an Icon in the Task-bar for safely Remove ..
Could it be the Software or did you not have to Install any ? ...
there was software, but l opted to scan the drivers directory for the correct driver (downloaded from the tplink site) rather than be forced to install other software... lve had that happen with previous adapters not giving me the choice of just installing drivers.
was kinda hard for my previous wireless adapter as the last latest ones were from 2009/10 so l went for generic ones which were much newer but didnt really help much.
know the feeling lol, you know your getting old when things start to creak and click in places that shouldnt click >_<

lve started to get this issue again, however its happened on my other external as well this time.
l did some googling, and it seems others have had this happen as well, some did mention unknown devices despite everything working fine however from what l gathered the parallel between others issues and my own is it happened while connecting to the front USB..
now l havent actually checked device manager, next time l connect one of my externals and disconnect it l'll have device manager open and see what section refreshes and does the disconnect reconnect thing. its obviously USB related since it only seems to happen when l disconnect one of my external drives.
l might connect a short piece of usb cable to my rear ports and see if it happens on the onboard one.
