Yep to be honest too (wish you had a name) I tried Pure once and for me too convoluted - my brother in the UK also had it on his and I think it dislikes "playing" with other programs more than the straight Internet security suite (KISS) .
There is a function that allows you to disable it for the time period you set instead of leaving yourself completely open:) See this How to enable/disable self-defense of Kaspersky PURE 3.0
A bit OT (off topic) I just bought the Android version today for my Samsung S5 and am itching to try it (cheap too) plus I found a 3 machine 2 year licence for $89 so work that one out for a daily price LOL!! I'll save you the maths - $0.04 a day
