"Power on hours" not being counted on my SSD..?!

    I can't see how trying it on another system would change things. The firmware that supplies details of the SSD is tied to the SSD & not the operating system.

    That would show If it's an haswell compatibility issue. Not all these ssd have this issue, so either it's defective, either incompatible.

    Where are you looking for this information, what does a tool like crystal disk info say?

    That's the app I use. There is trim.

    Sorry it's a old pic. you have nothing shown on the side where it has hours? You could try function/workaround/firmware bug in the menus.

    I will look for it. The hours counter is working but not counting normally.

    Did you look there? Cause they're just two entry, one foy some Samsung drive, one for "IE8 mode", no clue what it is.
