    Temporary screen black out

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place...

I have my PC wired up to my TV via HDMI and every so often (usually 2 or 3 times an hour) the screen will black out for a second and then come right back again. I thought initially it may be a faulty lead but it's not. I've recently done a completely fresh instal Of Windows 7l also thinking that may resolve it but no.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd wonder if maybe all the power saving settings need to be adjusted such as when the screen blanks out, screensaver is supposed to click in, etc. Hibernation and Sleep modes can cause issues. Basically, when watching TV or movies from a computer one doesn't want any type of interference with the process.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking that - everything was reset back to default when I did the clean install of windows and it's still doing it. Odd. Maybe it's the graphics card failing.
