    Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery DISABLED


    Hi!

    I have disabled the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" in the Batteries section of the Device Manager on my Windows 7 computer.

    I have done this in order to lower the latency as am working on audio production. I have lost the Batterly level indicator icon but I don't care about that.

    I just want to know if this can have any negative effect on the computer or the battery itself. Can it maybe overheat, blow, decrease in capacity or anything bad at all?

    It probably won't hurt anything as most Notebooks [yeah, noticed you left that little detail out of the System Specs] will run perfectly fine without the battery even being attached. Working on large products most likely are best done on AC power to avoid sudden shutdowns.
