How to install Asus-N53 wireless Adapter?

Is there anyone out there that can help me install my Asus wireless N53 adapter?

When I plug in the adapter into the USB port on my desktop I get the following pop up:

    Found New Harware - 802.11 n WLAN
If you have the disc that came with your device insert it now...I did not get a disc when I purchased this adapter.

So it has an option to select I don't have the disc. Show me other options. However, When I select this option I receive an error message Windows couldn't find driver software for your device.

Plz someone help, I've been sitting on this for 5 hours already, called Asus support waited 40 min to be connected with a rep who advised me to watch a demo tutorial on youtube which helped NOTHING!

I thank you in advance for your assistance.

I want to use the adaptor on my desktop which has Windows Vista as the OS; however, to get the driver I have to be online and trying to get it through my laptop (which is online) and has Windows 7 as the OS. So which OS do you recommend I need?
I tried downloading the one for Windows Vista first but the download failed (maybe because I'm on the laptop which operates as Windows 7?
So I downloaded the Windows 7 one, however which file do I select after downloading this? It gives me many options

Driver version 1.0.14.0 is the latest driver. It has support for all 3 operating systems.
Always best to run the most current driver version.
