Actually Hot Swap 5 1/4 bay for SSD's and hard drives are very handy for desktops.
For those that have extra hard drives or SSD's. The Hot Swap bay hook up to internal power and sata data connectors. If you have different system, programs, or just bull droppings. You just pop them in and you are ready to go. I have one installed with a slot for HD and a slot for a SSD.
I just picked up this one to go along with other one I have. 3.5in Trayless Hot Swap SATA Mobile Rack for Dual 2.5in Hard Drives - Storage mobile rack - 2.5 - black at

I'm using a Hotsway SSD to run W-10 on my W-7 computer. Dual boot.

Or you can use them for backup. Just pop in a HD or SSD make a backup and remove the drive and tuck it away.

Here is the tracking site for Amazon. In the search box just type in MX100 and you will get a bunch of products and select the one you want and it will give you the price history. If you register (free) you can set up what items you want to track and it will send you an e-mail when your items has a price drop. I have a Wish List at Amazon and it can track the whole list.

Amazon price tracker, Amazon price history charts, price watches, and price drop alerts. |

Crucial M4 has been discontinued
Maybe this isn't news to many of you, but is to me, the M4 line of SSDs from crucial has been discontinued. The replacement is the M500 series and is a 7.5mm with a 9.5mm adapter. This is from a chat I had with a Crucial rep:

OCZ Vertex Plus R2 SSD or Crucial v4 SSD?
Hi, I was wondering which SSD would be better when comparing speed/quality/reliablity, etc. My computer only has SATAII (2) so I don't need a really fast SATAIII (3) one, but I was wondering which would be better. Obviously Crucial Drives are the cheapest on the market, but I've heard that ORZ...
