    Shift Virtually stuck


    Okay< I"ve been having an issue where my shift key is randomly stuck kinda> i wiLl mentIon now that coffee HAS been spilled on my internal keyboard< so i use an external keyboard> shift is usually on but will sHut off for a millisecond>
    herE"s to shoW you how shift messes up:

    I was not Holding shift.
    ive been using the "hold both shiFts at the same time" thing but now it does not work anymore>
    it"s been beArable but now no matter what i do shift wont switch off> i"vE restarted my computer many Times> ive gone into the keyboard settings and tried to remove the drive for my internal keyboard> i'd like to mention that this is a lenovo laptop which i am going to replace soon either way (its still hard to do work and i have to deal with it for a while)> i cAn always use capslock but i still cant type numbeRs (you would not beLieve how hard it was to enter the captcha code to make this account)> i feel like there is something oBvious tHat i am missing> ALL help is VERY MUCH appreciated!

    Hi and welcome to 7F. Coffee + electronics = problems. You don't list the model no of your laptop which would help to find a YouTube video how to remove the keyboard so you can use a product like this one: Electronic Circuit Board Cleaner Spray to clean it out and hopefully free the shift key
