I tried out vista sp2 on VMWare Fusion, i put it on 2gb and i ran it. I have to say it was fast and fluid.

With 8GB you're fine. People who are using vista with 2-3GB are got to deal with heavier problems with that.

    hi there,

I think that it is best to use windows 7 as windows vista was extremely buggy. That is why Microsoft gave up on it and released Windows 7 in quick succession. The SP2 update will make it better, but it is resource heavy, so you will need atleast 3 GB of RAM for good performance. Windows 7 works great on my old celeron processor with only 2GB of RAM.

So I completely agree with what the others have said regarding using windows 7 instead of vista.

    I hope I have helped
