    Clicking noise every 10-15 min

This sounds like a weird question, but which device is responsible for that clicking noise just before the computer shuts down? (just before the light of the computer goes out you hear a click), I guess the HDD or the motherboard?

I ask this because I hear this click like every 10-15 minutes, even when I'm playing a game, the click is just once and not in sequence.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    hi

take the side cover off and see if you can pin point where the clicking sound is coming from.

Thanks for responding, well the problem is that there is like ever 10 minutes a click once, so I have to put my head for like 10 minutes in my case to know where the sound is coming from, but the click is not familiarly for you?

I really mean the click you hear the moment when the computer shut downs (when the lights go out), no idea if this sound is specific for my HDD or motherboard, hope someone knows more.

EDIT: It was my 2nd HDD going in sleep mode, I followed this: Hard Drive - Turn Off Hard Disk After Idle or Never
And now I don't hear the clicking anymore.

    Thanks for the help.
