Go into Control Panel/click on Device Manager/see if lists imaging devices.
    That's where mine was located.

Would you know why I can't find the program in my programs??

Well at least you know it works. I don't really know why you can't find the software, there are usually better options than the stuff they install from the OEM.

What do you want to do with it?

According to HP this is what was installed,

Cyberlink YouCam Software - HP 2000-150CA Notebook PC | HP® Support

Do you see a Cyberlink YouCam software anywhere?

I guess I missed the clean install part, but now you have the link for the software.

    Skype is pretty popular too.

Thank you. derekimo... all I would like to do is... to put the ICON on my desktop... like other icons.
You know, with the annoying shortcut arrow.

You're welcome, did you reinstall the software I linked above?

    No derekimo,
I thought it wise to ask questions before I did anything.
I did download You cam though. It is sitting on my desk top waiting.

That is directly from the support page for your laptop, so you can go ahead and install it when you are ready.

Always a good idea to ask questions, a wise move indeed. :)
