This wasn't posted correctly. It's not a URL link, so I don't know what web site solution you were looking at.

now I cant even get any read that its there it doesn't show in Device Manager
You need to open the USB category to see the Samsung device. That's where the phone shows up as one of the USB devices, inside of USB... not a primary category of its own in Device Manager.

Ok. If you still need USB drivers for Samsung Android, try this page and grab the Feb 15 update installer zip, unzip it, and run it. It's installer package 1.5.51.0 dated 12/4/2014. It contains Samsung Windows 7 64-bit drivers for Android, version 2.11.11.0 dated 11/20/2014.

When you plug your phone in, the drivers for the device will get installed.

If you look in Device Manager, you'll see two items:

    (1) In the USB group will be Samsung Module USB Composite Device

    (2) In the Samsung Android Phone group will be Samsung Android ADB Interface

Right-click on both of those devices and select Properties -> Driver, and it will show 2.11.11.0 dated 11/26/2014.

Explorer will show your Galaxy phone as an MTP device (i.e. with no drive letter assigned, but with it accessible by name, and then internal and external storage.

And the phone itself will show that it is USB-connected as a "media device" (MTP).

Note that when the phone is connected as MTP, it will still show up in the "safely remove hardware" list. So before you disconnect it be sure to go through the standard "safely remove hardware" procedure as you would do for any removable device connected in MSC mode (i.e. where it got a drive letter assigned by Windows).
