My ADATA USB FlashDrive is no longer detected by a computer.
Hi,
The FlashDrive was listed under my Computer once plugged in to a USB port of either a computer of mine.
It was working well yesterday with all my Computers, HP laptop with a USB 3.0, 2.0.(Windows 7 64Bit), and with my Desktop Computer with P 4(Two operating systems: Windows XP SP3 32Bit, and Windows XP SP2 32Bit ) with a USB 2.0, and with my P3 with a USB 1.0(Windows XP SP132Bit) . However, today, it wasn't detected at all when I tried plugging it in to a USB 2.0 port located on the in front side of my Desktop Computer P 4 in both Windows XP SP3 32Bit, and Windows XP SP2 32Bit in return. Once FlashDrive got plugged to that USB 2.0, I have noticed that notification 'a new hardware was unable to be detected well'. As a result, it was not shown in the Computer place. Thus, I tried plugging it in to the USB2.0 located on the back side of the computer, on which USB Flash Drive was was detected and was working well. However, this time was not detected at all. The FlashDrive was not detected at all in all computers' USBS once it was plugged to a USB located on the front side of a Desktop Computer P 4. Thus, I don't know if plugging it to the USB located on the front side mights corrut the Flash drive or a virus on that System might corrupt that Flash Drive . If it was detected, then it would be at least unallocated. However, even its LED didn't light at all once it got plugged in to a USB, although it was lighting before corruption
I think there are chances where a virus might corrupt the flash drive.
I don't care about repairing the USB Flash Drive as much as I care about the data inside it. Thus, Could you please at least let me know how to recover the data inside it?
My FlashDrive is ADATA 2GB, it is about 5years old
Can I take apart it, and fix anything inside? I don't see any screws to be unscrewed?
I have used some Data Recovery programs. However, as long as there is no assigned drive letter for the USB Flash Drive, and even the Flash Drive is not listed as an unallocated space once plugged in to my computer(since the USB Flash Drive is no longer identified by computer at all) , then how could any Data Recovery programs in the word be able to recovery the data on the USB Flash Drive?
