Windows keep moving from one monitor to another

I have three fairly new 24" 1920 x 1080 monitors (I say fairly new because I got them back in November then went out of town for seven weeks shortly after setting them up). I have the left hand monitor set as my primary and it is connected to the HDMI outlet on my GPU card (MSI R7850 Twin Frozr) through a powered HDMI splitter that also connects to my TV (both the left hand monitor and the TV are cloned). The center monitor is connected to the adjacent Mini-DisplayPort through a passive Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. The right hand monitor is connected to the other Mini-DisplayPort through an active Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

The setup works well except for one extremely annoying problem (the polite term; Mama told me not to use the more accurate terms). Frequently, when I shut off the monitors but leave the TV on, if I click on a program icon on the task bar, it often opens or, if already open but minimized, maximizes the window off the TV screen, I have to turn the monitors back on and drag the windows back to the left hand monitor so I can see them on the TV. Is there any way I can get the stupid, wandering windows to stay where I put them before turning off the monitors?

Winkey + P to set the TV/main monitor as primary/only display, then reverse when using all three monitors maybe.

Maybe this tutorial by Brink will help:
Offscreen Window - Move Back to Desktop

The problem isn't windows moving off screen; the problem is windows moving to other screens. I'm wanting the windows to stay where I put them, not move them back after they have moved.

The tutorial won't help to prevent windows moving to other screens.
So it's not a solution to that problem, but maybe a better workaround until/if you can find a better fix ?
I thought it might be helpful, so you wouldn't have to turn monitors back on to move a window back to the TV screen.

Actually, I have found a better way to get a window back on the TV. Just close the program and reopen it.
