    SSD and HD

    Hi,
I was just wondering if its possible for a HD to go to sleep while Windows is using the SSD.

The reason I ask, is because sometime I hear a click, like when my PC use to sleep when I only had my HD.

If feel like when using windows on the SSD, and don't navigate to my folder on the HD, it will turn off, because then when I go to my folders after I hear the click, explorer seem to either no respond for a few seconds, or I get the spinning feel for a few second if I right click.

    So my question is:
Is it possible for a HD to go to sleep, when windows and the SSD is your main drive?

Power Management, type it in search, then tell it to never put the HDD to sleep.

Will this still allow the SSD to go to sleep after 30minuities?

As far as I know, SSDs don't sleep.

I haven't played with that setting for a while, but I think it applies to all spinning drives. Whatever you choose, it will apply to all HDDs, but not SDDs.

Well I guess what I mean if I set HD to never sleep, will windows still sleep, which is on SSD

It the hard drive motor that turns off. SDD does not have one.
Then when you use the hard drive again, the platter has to
    spin back up to speed.
