    Not sure.
I like my Western Digital TV Live, but I use that primarily to stream content from PCs to TV, not to play TV on PC.

I've always liked my Hauppauge TV tuner cards, but they just play TV on PC and don't do any streaming.
And Comcast (my cable provider) has encrypted their output, so rendering the tuner cards obsolete.

    Gotta shop I guess.

    Thanks for reply.

I just bought a new one (hdhomerun extended).

Works now - just have to configure the "Extended" settings.

Really mad that the other unit crapped out so soon and with no warning.

    Stuff happens.

Please report back with how it works and how you set it up. I've got my eye on getting one or two of those units.

Setting up is a little different from my old one in that no cd came with it.

All you do is go to myhdhomerun.com and download the drivers.

Then open WMC and do a channel scan.

Then go to settings, recorder storage and tell it where you want it to save recorded shows and timer settings, such as starting on time and if you want to extend the recording.

This is useful if recording a sporting event or tonight's Oscars which might run longer than is shown.

Works great, but I hope it lasts longer than the old one.

You can also just click Hdhomerun in Start menu and click setup -that also will open WMC and guide you through it.

    TV receptioni 1080p.

I'm recording 2 programs at once - pause, rewind also supported.

I just contacted Silicondust and after diagnosing problem, they are giving me a top of the line model for $49.00!

I replaced it a few days ago for $124 - which is a lower model, and I will return, so it worked out great.

    Good customer service!:):)
