monitor doesn't display anything!!!

    monitor doesn't display anything!!!


    So problem is with monitor.When i started my computer the monitor screen was black after like 5-10 min itshows display normally but now suddenly when i started pc in morning my monitor didnt display anything i try to wait like half hour but nothing please help me!!!
    my monitor is samsung syncmaster 2220lm and my pc s hp pavilion slim graphics card:gefoce 210


    and after like 2 days i left my pc on and about like half hour or more the screen was back on but on another morning i waited more then hour and nothing strange isnt it what should i do!!!!

    Oh and it started like this one morning my bro started on pc and it didnt start because power supply needed to rest so another day i started it and it was going but the monitor didnt display anything we buyed new power supply week ago but still it doesnt show anything help

    2 options:

    1) faulty vga card
    2) faulty monitor

    Try the monitor on another machine, if that works, then there's something wrong with your hw.
    I also assume you checked the vga cable that goes from the monitor to the pc...

    If the Geforce card is removable, you could try removing and reseating it. It may have worked loose over time.

    Major help !!!


    so i had this problem with my monitor that it didnt show anything it was black so i opened my pc and i take out my graphics card then put it back in when i pugged everthing in keyboard and mouse didnt work and my computer was making a bit more noise

    Your monitor probably just died, why did you take your pc all apart ?

    When I was phone tech support, we often recommended reSeating cards, memory, etc. before replacing anything. And, we recommended using another monitor or keyboard or mouse etc -- depending upon what the customer had on hand, or had easy access to. Obviously, this reSeating needs to be done with the big red [or black] computer switch on Off. If using PS/2 keyboard and/or mouse, PC must be off during reSeating.

    yes the pc was off and everything was unpluged i took the pc on my bed and just take my graphics card out clean the dust and put it in back now my keyboard and mouse are not working oh and when i put vga cable to notebook its still just black maybe its graphics card but keyboard and mouse are not working idk what have i done

    Take the monitor to shop and have them test it for you.
