    Likely the best you're going to get updated drivers or not. That motherboard/chipset hasn't seen a driver update in 6 years,

    NVIDIA DRIVERS nForce Driver Version 15.49 WHQL

    and never has had official Windows 7 support; the last driver only went up to Vista (which you can install on Windows 7). The chipset itself is close to 10 years old.

    here is another ssd on SATA 2, at the end of the day it's only numbers :)

    ps,Yes the pc is working okay,I just thought that it would be more faster than it is since installing the SSD.
    I read in one magazine that a chappy had a W7 and it would fire up in 31seconds.Maybe that guy had all the top of the range guts.R/Royce?.Many thanks.

    What do you mean "Came up nil" it should tell you Windows has determined your driver software is up to date.

    AddRAM.
    Sorry what I should have said was,When I did check for updates by following the image given,Windows did say that there were no updates for those drivers.

    Good morning to all concerned.
    Just a final point on this issue,My start up time for this desktop was 70seconds from completely off to ready to use.The only thing the welcome screen did hang on for a while.

    What I meant by fill in your specs properly was, put everything in the right category, you have everything jammed into other info

    Look at mine or others for a better example on how they should be filled out :)

    Although, it`s very descriptive
