So, I'm using my HP Pavilion Dv4 one day and I check my battery. It's at (about) 30%. So I I'm using my computer as normal as possible with my screen dimmed and it died. Could this possibly be a Windows problem and can it be corrected? Any answers would be awesome[emoji4] [emoji106]

i would say to test the battery performance of you computer. HP Pavilion Dv4 i guess 3 - 4 years old?
is it the original battery since you got that machine? Batteries lost its life over time.

Yes, original OEM battery. I'm also glad I went in to HP support assistant! (Apparently HP has done an Safety Recall on HP AC power cords [emoji26]. Let's all hope that mine is not on the list)

So you mean that power adapter is still attached when your laptop goes off?
That could mean something more than a battery problem.

That's not what I meant. I meant that when I take it off charge, it dies at 30%ish (and fast).

I would recommend you buying new battery for your laptop.
