    Do i only hit format this device? Without clicking on perform quick wipe box?

    hmm... End of the story.

    The interface card the SATA to USB bridge is working fine. The drive controller has shut off the HDD unable to cope up with the deluge of bad sectors exceeding the number of reserved sectors to which those could be mapped. I had mentioned this even before in this thread.Especially if sector 0 of an HDD had gone bad, nothing can be done. The HDD can only be used as a paper weight.

    I don't think even if you take out the drive and put it as a secondary drive, it will work, short of a miracle.Try if you want.

    You are free to try anything now.No need to wait for my instructions.:)

    You mean in other words this drive is dead now? Cannot be re used?
