You may have a graphics issue, or the backlight on the screen isn't working. I would take the laptop to a competent, qualified service shop for testing and/or repair.

Is this a new laptop? If so, it may be under warranty.

When you put the lappy back together after the new screen, did you maybe dislodge a connector in the unit? Something that's now making an intermittent connection?

I would suggest, to check everything was tightly back in place. dismantle laptop once again then put it back together.
maybe you have a loose connections, that is why it is behaving that way.
