I'm not going to be jumping backwards and forwards between threads to get the whole picture, especially when one of them is in the wrong place.

I had other GPU/possibly CPU-cooling-related issues, so I was getting all my duck in a row before seeking help in regards to those.
I did download both drivers and BIOS from manufacturer's site. The way it is presented there proved a bit.confusing tho, and I might have tried to rush it by installing 7-ish sets of drivers and finally Asus. Suite before making a single reboot...
That actually still worked, but I followed it immediately by found another check/upgrade with that Suite and upgrading BIOS at the same time. After that reboot system started behaving like i described above. BIOS itself seems to be doing fine, tho.
No crash dumps have been generated, and only interesting logs are ones created when I tried to restore system to the state before installations. (every time a "Setup" error event with source: M-S-WUSA).
One of those diagnostic tools you can use in that.boot-repair menu also claims that it is recent driver installation that prevents startup.
I'm sorry for making a mess - i was googling the very question I put.in the title and I kept-finding almost-answers on this subforum.
Please delete/ignore the wrong one and I'll stick to the legal one.
I can boot from disc/usb and that's about it.
Nope. The very same effect as with normal mode.
Yes. Windows.starting animation starts, freezes, computer restarts, windows sta... Etc.
And to clarify bit.about GPU/CPU from 1st post here. My GPU is removed from the.computer for.the.time being (was for 2 days before this issue started. monitor is plugged to motherboard) and I just replaced paste on CPU and am getting stable ~30C when watching temp in BIOS.
I got to the point of checking sizes of regback folders. They look as follows:
Default: 180,000
Sam: 20,500
Security: 24,600
So, while not 0, as warned, they clearly aren't at 260,000, nor of equal size.
Should I proceed?
