How to install drivers using Windows Recovery "Load Drivers" option.

I was actually getting ready to post here about my x00000124 problem but reading other posts realized that my motherboard drivers were freakishly out of date (2006 versions, forgot about them last time I was installing a system). I dled all new ones, installed them all, performed a restart and then used newly installed ASUS Suite to update my BIOS.

Not sure if that's relevant, but after that last successful startup there was a bunch on popups asking for promision to launch several application (related to the driver update I imagine). I agreed to all of those and nothing beyond that happened.
I did not restart computer again before performing BIOS upgrade.

BIOS itself seems to work just fine.

When I attempted to start system with new BIOS my computer restarts about 1 sec after starting animation begins. I can only launch it in "Startup Repair" mode and it communicates that automatic repair was impossible. For those reasons i can't provide that archive with dumps and whatnot. Safe Mode isn't working either.

I used earliest of today's recovery points but without effect.

One more thing I haven't mentioned before tho: one of the issues I was dealing with was overheating CPU. I was actually about to go and buy a new paste since I havn't replaced the old one after cleaning the heat pink last time. Once the BIOS got updated, the new one refused to startup the system at first due to too high CPU temperature. Not sure if that could have caused the problem.

I think I looked through all the recent logs and to an untrained only interesting ones were 3 error events under Windows Log/Setup, each linked to my attempts to do that System Restoration like you adviced in 1st post.

Error number is 2147943458 and source: Mic-Win-WUSA. On an offchance that's relevant.

Any advice what.could I do next? I've seen option "load drivers" around here, is that something i could try? I assume it replacesy drivers with one found on system disc. Is that correct?

I came up with an idea to update both my BIOS and motherboard drivers today. Sadly, something went wrong with the drivers (downloaded from Asus website) and now my Windows startup freezes 1 sec into starting animation and 1 sec later computer restarts. I try to avoid fresh instalation if simply restoring original motherboard driversnthat come with system would be possible. Sadly I have no idea what files should I chose when using this option.
