The motherboard is very old and also the cpu. I was thinking about slowly changing the two. I can only afford little by little at the moment.

Im hoping the ssd and other desktop specs ive listed above will all be compatible.

I ordered the windows 8 cd and its getting ready to be dispatched. Im having second thoughts and might cancel it before they dispatch it soon. Maybe get win7/64 bit.

One thing i forgot to mention above with the specs is the desktop is 32 bit/windows 7.

So they are attempting to cancel the shipment.

I was reading the posts from earlier on.

    I noticed post #18 said i have 64 bit windows 7 but i don't.

I have tried to cancel the windows 8 order and hopefully they are able to cancel the order.

    So install 7 64 bit.

You already have a windows 7 license key, correct ?

So you don`t have to buy anything, you just need a Windows 7 64 bit install DVD, the same version that`s on your COA.

    Don`t cancel the ssd.

Are we talking about something else other then the laptop you have in your specs.

Once again, Please fill in your specs, down below where it says My System Specs, Thank You

Ok there has been a mix up.

When i was new to this website i was using my laptop. And so i filled in my laptops specs under my system specs on my profile.

It is my desktop that is not working properly and that is what i am trying to repair with the help from this forum :).

    Question:

Im not sure if i have the option AHCI in my bios. Or the options/settings needed that is suited for ssd.
This was a reason why i cancelled the ssd order.

I will attatch some pictures and maybe you can tell me if my desktop can support ssd.

The first picture shows details about my desktop cpu.
