Make it a Logical drive.

It won`t mess up your DB.

Don`t understand why you don`t want to use the entire drive.

No one replied, so I figured I`d say something. Others can comment :)

Bootloader? Why? What are you talking about. Its a data drive, it doesn't need any special treatment. Go Logical as suggested by AddRAM.

You sound unsure about the basics of disk formatting, so perhaps seek some advice from a friend.

Okay, instead of dealing with this issue I'll just get a 2TB HDD.

Hi- I currently have Win7 installed on two separate drives in my box. I can only set (select) boot sequence in the BIOS. If I recall correctly, way back when a boot selection menu would appear when I think I was running Win7 (when it first came out) alongside XP but that screen no longer appears...
