XP 32 Bit & Win 7 64 Bit

From what I've heard, Hitachi is a step up from WD and Seagate, that's why I bought this one. Plus it carries a 5 year warranty.

Yeah, Hitachi was rated highest in reliability by a noticeable margin in that study that came out within the last 6 months or so. Some outfit who used thousands of drives at a time in a data center published their findings. Backblaze--that's who it was. Seagate was rated lowest. WD in the middle. I think this was for large drives.

It's probably less important now for home users than it was 5 years ago as most people are going to SSDs for their boot drives at least. HDD speed matters to a lower percentage of users. And everybody seems to think that HDD reliability in general is less than it was 5 or 10 years ago.

Hi, I have a Hitachi HTS545050B9A300 500gb HDD and was wondering If I am able to use the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test software with my x64 processor? I know that it says it is only compatible with an x86 architecture, but what are my alternatives besides a CHKDSK? Thanks.
