    There are 2 screen shots that I posted......one with Winnit and other with CHDSK source.

    I dont know which is the one with chkdsk/ r?

    The first test was the /R. The question is whether those minor errors tripped Dell's disk error. Can you run the Dell test again, either through the BIOS or a Windows program? If so and it comes out clean, you're probably done. If not, I would go ahead to the Long self-test. Actually I would do that in any case.

    Frankly, I don't have the know how to do the test through BIOS.

    I can do the long one if you post the command.......and where would the results be located now?

    Dell test results weren't detailed just "partition C corrupted."

    You would have to go into the BIOS (F2 at the first Dell boot screen) and see if there's a Utilities tab from which you can launch a Disk Test.

    The Long test is a function of third party software, such as Gsmartcontrol or seatools.
