    Removing embedded CPU

This may sound kinda dumb, but is there any way to remove an embedded CPU? (because I have another one)

I am asking this because my new mobo/CPU combo takes really long to arrive (Somewhere in june or juli.)

It doenst matter if I screw it up tho.

There is a machine that removes chipsets on a motherboard, I think it's possible.

Is it possible to do it at home?

By embedded you mean soldered right to the motherboard with no socket? What type of processor, make and model number? Even before you answer I'm going to say, no, not something you can easily do at home. Too many pins to unsolder, if it has pins. Its also a multi layer board so you have to know what your doing to prevent damage. Do you have a spare processor to replace it with?

I've decided that waiting for the new parts to arrive is my best option.

    Thanks
