Devices and Printers Icons won't update

You say you got all the drivers from Asus, not including Probe II?

With my system that Blue Icon is definitely from the probe II driver.

Are you saying that you don't want the Blue Cube?
I'm confused now..

If you just want the generic PC icon and not the Blue Cube then delete the metadata file from those two locations I suppose.

Of course I don`t want the blue cube, I don`t even understand how windows would create that icon.

I got every driver from Asus. Including Probe 2, I have not installed the Probe 2 driver or Asus Suite 3, useless garbage software, not needed.

I want the same icon Boozad has.

Alright, it`s fixed.

Not sure why, but Logitech was creating a Virtual Keyboard and Mouse

Ah yeah, sorry, it's the Probe II driver that installs the Blue Cube (when it works).

I just removed mine to see if it could be done & you can remove it. You just have to go to: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceMetadataStore\en-US and delete "dbd4d4a2-c08c-46ea-9996-57094e1547ac.devicemetadata-ms"

I tried deleting it from: "C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Device Metadata\dmrccache\en-us" but this caused other icons to revert to generic as well.

with my black icons, I think the Generic PC icon fits in better now too
