Mouse stops; unplug, replug, starts again
Logitech optical mouse, on a USB extension cable due to location of CPU, has developed a bad habit of stopping, which can be easily determined by turning mouse over and observing that there is no red light emanating therefrom.
I can crawl under computer table, unplug recalcitrant mouse from the USB extension cable, plug it back in, and mouse resumes working. No pattern as to when the fault will occur. Any thoughts as to where the problem might lie, as in the mouse, the cable, my failure to provide sufficient cheese for the mouse to nibble on?
