Replacing C drive in Dell Optiplex 980, bus speed question

Question is about a Dell 980 Optiplex computer running Windows 7 Pro.
The C drive has failed. All I want to know is :
    - The bus speed for the SATA drive in the Dell service manual says 1.5gb and 3.0 gb/s
    - I purchased a Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 rpt 64mb cache SATA 6.0Gb/s internal drive.

What problems would I experience if I install this WD drive into the Dell?
What needs to be done to enable a 6.0Gb/s drive to work with a computer having a bus speed of 3.0Gb/s?

You won't notice any speed issues using a 7200 rpm HDD on a SATA II (3 Gbps) port. Now, if you would get an SSD, you would see lower than advertised speeds - as an SSD nowadays is faster than SATA II.

You won`t have any problems :)

You wanna run at 6 Gbps, you have to buy a 6gps sata card.

Not worth the time or money.

Just plug it in and go. The drive interface will run the drive data rate at half speed, which is fine. 6 GB/s is the max transfer speed for your new drive, but it can easily run at 3 GB/s with no harm to the drive at all.

They are all interchangeable. It's a misnomer of a Mechanical Hard Drive running 6 Gb/s. There is no commercially available Mechanical hard drive that can break the sata 3 Gb/s barrier, much less 6 Gb/s. You will have no problems.
