I dropped my intel i5, help needed

I was changing the thermal paste of my intel i5 and ofcourse I was so stupid to drop it, luckily the processor have a hard case on the outside but still there is a small dent on the outside of the metal case, example picture of the place of the dent (this picture is just random not my processor!): http://s28.postimg.org/kjkng9nrx/image.jpg

Does somebody know if it hurted the processor when I put it back in my computer? is there any electric stuff under it or are these 2 metal things on the outside of the case just to keep the processor on its place?

    Many thanks,
    Chris

Most likely, you are ok just as long as the dent isn't so large as to have distorted the top of the metal case.

It`s just the heat spreader, you`ll be fine.

    Put it back in.
