Random sound played with webcam being plugged in

This is a very strange and very creepy problem and I wasn't sure which forum to post this in.
My webcam is normally plugged in 100% of the time. For last few weeks I haven't used it because it fell down behind my desk and I was too lazy to get it again.

I am skyping with my friend right now and I unplugged my webcam to pull it back around blah blah you know cable problems..eventually put it in position on my monitor and plugged it back in...

And then something extremely scary happened. At first a split second of a song played (I have no music or sound playing software open and it was not a file I have on my harddrive to my knowledge). Then I heard a male voice say "kitty" ???????????? another fraction of a sound file I do not have on my computer.
Extremely freaked out I unplugged my webcam within seconds. I waited again and plugged it back in again and then the song played again for a few more seconds (oh and it's the ****ing Scooby Doo theme song by the way). I did this one more time and it did it again, I closed every window I had open (including firefox) and now it doesn't do it anymore. My webcam works fine but I am extremely concerned I have been hacked? I'm running a scan right now with Avast.

Please help I'm so creeped out

    Check something please:
Right click volume icon on notification area, go to Sounds (can also open from control panel).
Scroll down to "Device connect" and Test. See if that song will play.

Also run a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

It still made the usual device connect and disconnect sounds as I was plugging and unplugging.
Will report back with a scan from this software, avast found nothing
