My PageFile Says that it takes up 380GB of space

    Hello,

I recently Looked at my hard drive to figure out how to free up some space on it. So I was looking at System Information, and I saw that my hard drive has give 380GB to pagefile.sys.

    Thanks!

Set it to fixed 10-10GB, will be more than plenty.
To set it, Start Menu - right click Computer - Properties - Advanced System Settings - Advanced Tab - Performance Settings - Advanced - Change - Custom size:
    Initial size: 10000
    Maximum size: 10000
    Click Set, Ok, restart PC

I keep my systems allowing Windows 7 to manage memory/pagefile.
Windows 7 knows what it needs and when it needs it.

In the OP's case 5GB would be more than enough.

Ok then, it worked! Also one more question, is it okay to have 10GB as swap space?

    Thanks

It doesn't hurt, and as Boozad said even 5GB is enough for you.
