one computer won't see the printer.

I've got a problem with my canon mg3550. I can connect to it's web interface, 192.168.0.2, from any pc (even from my phone) but not my main one (let's call it like that).
My main PC runs windows 7 x64 ultimate. I have uninstalled anything related to any printer. The others systems run windows 8, android,...
When I try to install a wireless printer via the windows utilitary, it doesn't sees the printer. I try to manually add it but windows says me it doesn't sees the printer on the network which is exacty the same as the one my other devices are connected to. The other pc running windows 8 is recent and I didn't even had to install the printer by myself. it did it automatically.

I don't see any solution so if someone know how to help him, he's welcome!

Pinging the printer is less complicated than attempting to surf to its interface. Please see if you can ping the printer from your W8 computer. That will let us know if the printer answers pings.

If it does not answer pings, then we will stick with surfing to the printer's interface.

If it does answer the W8 ping, then try pinging it from the W7 computer.

If the W7 ping fails, disable Avira and try again.

Is Avira providing your W7 computer with a firewall or are you using the native W7 firewall?

Also, are you using Avira on the W8 computer? Even if you are, I'm hesitant to declare that Avira's protection for W7 and W8 are the same.

How does your main computer (W7) connect to your network?
Via wire?
Via wireless?

My bad I forgot to answer this question...
I have the lastest update of avira (free version) on both pc's. They also both use the firewall provided by windows (which is confirmed by avira when I click on the 'firewall" link).
My main pc connects via wire (and PLC but id doesn't change anything)
The rest of my devices connects via wifi.

Thanks for that info. As you might guess, I'm looking for things that could block the communication.

Just as a test, you can...
...disconnect your network from the Internet
...uninstall Avira from the main (W7) computer
...test surfing to the printer.
If that fails...
...turn off the Windows firewall
...test surfing to the printer.

If all of the above fails, then maybe we should look for firewall settings within the router. What is the make/model of that router?

Also agree to check Avira and Windows Firewall is off.

A few more suggestions
1) I'd reset your internet settings. (You reset in IE but some settings apply to other browsers as well)

2) For IE clic Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files. Select to delete offline content

3) Use CCleaner as well. Deletes stale IE files. Click the App tab to find your other browsers listed

4) If all else fails, I'd do a reset on router back to factory defaults

As for Windows, click on printer not listed. You should also get the option to list the printer ip address yourself

I've tried all what you said and nothing appears to solve the problem. The "I don't see my printer" option in the config page of windows doesn't work.
I've tried resetting my router but it hasn't a lot of options at all and almost none of them was changed.
The router is the one of my ISP. It's VOO (Belgium) who sold me the router and it's their own model. I can barely change anything and there's no firewall setting (ther is an option to activate the firewall for ipv6 but at the time of now, it's disabled).
The model is CG3700B-1V2FSS though.
