My laptop refuses to type @ using the "usual" key combination

I use Alt + V as key combination for typing @ (which i just typed using alt code). It allways worked, but one day, I wanted to connect my Razer Cortex account to YouTube, and I just couldn't type it in. I checked the keyboard language, that was ok, I started pressing other alt + key combinations, they worked, then I pressed just the V key, and that worked too, so it's really not, that alt or V keys are not functional.

Could anyone help me with that?

Get KeyCastOW from https://brookhong.github.io/2014/04/...n-windows.html and see if the combination works alright. Did you try in other places, like in notepad?

I just tested it. It seems like my right alt does Ctrl+Alt combination. Since I never encounteres this I take it as that's not normal, tell me if I'm wrong about that. V key refused to show up after that combination, and @ refused to show up. In any program I tried to write it in.

Right Alt (Alt Gr) showing as ALT+CTRL is normal. With US English keyboard it shows ALT, but turns to ALT+CTRL when I switch to Turkish keyboard (ALT+SHIFT).

Reading Alt Gr is not working on Windows 7. - Microsoft Community, I wonder if you have installed something new that is interfering.

Try a clean startup - Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
Also check Ease of Access settings for keyboard.

You can also try Safe Mode and another user account.

Thanks. Looking at hotkey bindings helped (link to microsoft's page). Razer Cortex was the problem, and altough it didn't Reserve Ctrl + Alt + V hotkey, but other keys (Ctrl + Alt + R), it somehow blocked me from using Alt Gr + V / Ctrl + Alt + V combination. Closing Razer Cortex solved the problem, and hotkey rebinding is fine.

    Thanks again.
