USB not working after Windows Update

Computer was fine on Friday but this morning after an update has been applied I have no USB hence no keyboard or mouse. I'm able to access the computer from anoth PC via Teamviewer so can make changes etc no problem. So far I've spent the entire day trying different things to sort this out but to no avail. I've tried re-installing the USB drivers but I either get a message saying I already have the latest drivers installed or the driver appears to install but in the Device Manager has a yellow flag and uder Device Status says
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
I've attempted changing the BIOS settings (keyboard and mouse work fine there) but doesn't make any difference and I've also attempted to get into the Advance Boot options so I can try disabling Digital Device Signing. However on this MOBO, F8 takes it into which device to boot from and when I select the device and try F8 again it just continues into normal Windows mode. I've also tried a System Restore and uninstalling the latest updates but still the same problem. Any ideas because I'm at my wits end

    Try loading defaults in BIOS.

Was the System Restore point from before the problem? Like Friday or earlier.

Get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free, enable rootkit scanning (settings - detections) and scan with it.

The system restore was the earliest I could go which was yesterday morning so presumably after the updates. Done the Malaware scan and a few things came up but nothing too scary. I've got up and running again by using ReadyDriver Plus which loads the Advance Boot Options / Disable driver signature enforcement option.
