Windows 7: USB 3 Running at High-Speed (I'm Going Insane!)

Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

It seems that my motherboard is out of date when it comes to USB 3. I will eventually upgrade and hopefully USB 3 will be more readily available.

I am transferring files from my Sata 3 HD and my SSD. My external HD is listed as USB 3 and reviews I have read suggest it works fine as a USB 3 device. I'm getting between 2 - 25mb/sec. My equipment can write faster than that surely.
