    USB port 2.0 doesn't work

Hello, guys! So my problem is that one of my ports are not working. I have 2 ports (3.0 and 2.0) and the 2.0 is not working. It all began with preinstalling the laptop and from then the 2.0 port is not working. I tried to return to previous versions of the drivers but still didnt work. Thanks in advance!

Try the port with Windows in Safe Mode.

Next I would try it outside of the windows install. A keyboard plugged into it while in the BIOS, or a windows recovery or linux live boot disk.

Try loading defaults in BIOS (Setup menu when you start the laptop).
You can then try booting with Linux Mint MATE DVD/USB and see if USB ports work.

The question is what operating system came with the computer originally. Not whats on the computer now.
