Huawei USB E367 Internet device not functioning properly

    Hallo,

    I have a Toshiba Laptop with Windows 7, 32-bit with 2G Ram.

I use a Huawei USB E367 for my internet connection. It has been working well for the past 4 years, on any computer that I use.

The USB has been giving me trouble for the past few weeks now, but ONLY on my laptop, on all other computers the USB works fine.

The problem is, it would stay connected to the internet for 20 minutes, then lose connection. Then my laptop would not recognize the device. I take the USB out, put it back in. The laptop will recognize the USB, and I reconnect, but only for 10 minutes, then it loses connection again, and the laptop would not recognize the device.

And so it goes on and for about an hour. Then I would be able to connect to the internet, but there is no data transfer, ie . I cannot open a single webpage.( My internet signal is strong, each time).
And so it goes on for the whole day.

I’ve updated all my drivers, for Huawei, Toshiba, you name it. I’ve updated, uninstalled, and re-installed the Huawei device several times.

I’ve used several other USB’s in my Laptop's USB ports, for my phone, other memory sticks, other internet devices, and my USB ports all work just fine, it is only a concern for my Huawei device.

I don’t know what to do. Any advice is appreciated!!

The following advice from another forum seems to have worked: This problem is related to other posts I have made on this forum, regarding my USB ports, and the internet that doesn't function after 2-3 minutes. It has all come down to one problem, SEE BELOW:

Turn off power saving settings for USB hubs/ports from device manager and see if that corrects matters. I've had Windows do stupid crap with USB power settings before that would constantly disconnect my mouse.Turn off power saving settings for USB hubs/ports from device manager and see if that corrects matters.
