keyboard only works at my sister's house

Out of the clear blue, Windows 7 on my Compaq desktop computer started telling me my password was wrong and would not let me logon.
I carried the fool thing to my sister's house to work on it together as she has a rescue disk for win 7

We followed the directions on How To Reset a Windows 7 Password [Easy, 15-20 Min] and were able to create a new password that worked.

We did a cleanup using ccleaner, atf, Jrt awd and windows own disk cleanup. Everything was good
We scanned with Malwarebytes, Spybot, Eset, MSERT. Found lots of minor stuff (Mindspark, Open Candy, Yontoo, Couponbar, etc) but Spybot also found and cleaned W3i.105.fraud and Malwarebytes found w3i.A. Not sure if these are awful or not.

Working great, so I lugged it home. Connected all the cables and the password once again would not be accepted.
Brought it back to my sister's and no problem with the login password.

What the heck could the issue be????
Any ideas what to check next?

My login password only works at my sister's house - General Security

I personally would not use two forums to fix one computer.
One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing sort of thing.

In my opinion Bleeping Computer is very good at infection problems and has been for years.

Despiration has caused me to shout from the mountaintops.
You make a valid point, though, and so I usually will work with the first responder and report this to later responders.

Removing the password worked. Neither of us is brave enough to create a password and possibly mess things up again.
Thanks for your help.
I think we are all set now.

PS2 Keyboard - works on one PC, not on the other
Both PCs run Win7 x64. On one, when I plug in a PS2 keyboard, it works immediately. On the other, it doesn't. I know the PS2 port is OK on that second PC, as a PS2 keyboard works fine in the BIOS (where, I think, PS2 is enabled automatically). I have seen a suggestion that changing certain...

Computer freezes at client house but works seamless on my workbench!
OK, I am having a small nightmare with this Dell computer of a client. It's an old PC (6 years) with a Pentium dual core CPU and 4 GB of RAM. His computer was freezing and getting BSOD and then started to say that his Windows wasn't genuine (it wasn't indeed). Also it has warned him several times...

W7 Setup from DVD - mouse nor keyboard works
Interesting problem, which I discovered more or less coincidentally. Microsoft's solution for a problem I am having is to repair Windows. I started out to boot from original W7 DVD but neither mouse nor keyboard worked. After a couple of times rebooting I gave up. But then again, it has ...

keyboard works for one user but not for another
Weird but true. When I sign in as the administrator, I can type my password but that's all. Can't type on a website, in a document not even on a "sticky note". Cannot delete anything either. It's like the keyboard has been disconnected. In order to try to get help on this site, I had to sign...

My tower works everywhere but at my house!
So about a year ago, my house was broken into and they tried to steal my computer(among many other things). All that happened was they ripped out the wires(while it was on) and knocked it over.(i found it disconnected close to my front door). I then began to have problems with my computer doing the...
